Surrogacy for same-sex couples is offered legally and ethically in very few countries outside of the United States and Canada. There are options if partners have the desire to use their own gametes to have biologically related children. For example, the oocytes retrieved at an egg retrieval can be divided between two men and fertilized with their individual sperm. In doing so, the embryos created by both partners can later be transferred to a surrogate.

PGD testing can be performed to determine the sex and vitality of the embryo. You get to decide if this is important for you

It is advantageous for Intended Parents to create embryos first. A surrogate can then be matched more quickly in both the U.S and Canada
